We believe in working towards social, environmental and economic sustainability
We believe in our social responsibility. As well as offering apprenticeships to local young people, our team fundraises for our chosen charity throughout the year.
We are also part of the Disability Confident Scheme.
All waste materials are dealt with in a responsible manner and we offer customers a range of recycled products.
We are also part of the DE-Carbonise project which aims to help SMEs increase their sustainability and save money by reducing energy costs and carbon emissions.
Read the University of Derby’s Go Green Week blog to learn more about our involvement in the project.
Our trucks and plant are powered by Euro 6 engines (the latest standard to help reduce the level of harmful pollutants produced by new vehicles).
Vehicle telematics help improve operational performance, reduce costs and minimise impact on the environment.
We are a member of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) which is a voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators aiming to raise the level of quality within fleet operations.
It also demonstrates which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
In February 2021, we were awarded FORS GOLD accreditation.
We are a member of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.
The School allows organisations to access training in five different areas; Sustainability, Offsite, BIM, Lean and Management.
The Disability Confident Scheme aims to support employers to make the most of the talents that disabled people can bring to the workplace. We hope that by changing behaviour and cultures in our own business, we will contribute to a greater understanding of disability, changing attitudes for the better.
We are committed to training and our team complete both practical and eLearning safety and professional training on a regular basis.
Our drivers hold up-to-date CPC, ALLMI or NPORS, EUSR, MPQC (Epic) and NRSWA accreditation.
